I guess it would be funny if you've seen/read any Harry Potter, unlike me.

It is. And you all need to grow up.

No, it's like musicals, and Desperate Housewives, and Rugby. Looked like absolute muck on first glance, so I've never bothered.

I thought similarly but was eventually persuaded to go see it. I have to say I enjoyed it!

Anyway, back on topic... ...this converter is actually on such a serious-business-type-site as CNN??:confused:

    It is what it's.

but that is going on the assumption that 1 US cent = 1 knut so after that all you have to do is for every I think its 29 knuts, you give one sickle, and for every 17 sickles give one Galleon (I think thats how it was broke down in the books)

also it really puts into proportion just how poor the Weasleys are, remember in Thje Chamber Of Secrets they didn't have any Galleons

also fyi in the triwizard cup, Harry walked away with $4821.52

Why would it be to us dollar!! Harry potter is in England surely they'd put it towards the sterling rate rather than the us dollar??

also could someone tell me what J.K. is refering to when she says a Galleon is the size of a hubcap. because I for one imagine them to be the size of those things on cars, but at the same time he can fit a load of them into a little moneybag :( has anyone else noticed this?

dollars because of the following reason:

"The secret to our calculator is on the back of those little books, right under the UPC symbol. The price of the book, it says, is "$3.99 (14 sickles, 3 knuts)."

That information, combined with the knowledge that there are 29 knuts in a sickle and 17 sickles in a galleon (which we learned from more careful study of Harry Potter books), told us all we needed to know to build our Harry Potter wizard money calculator."
