I would recomend to tourists to keep away from Bayside when taking the Dart. Got any other places you think people should keep away from?

I wouldn't send tourists to the toilets on College Green. They've been closed for years.

I'm sure it's a lovly area if your from there and know the people. It is a safe place at 5 in the morning :D. The Dart station is being upgraded I think and I can't understand why there is one there, when sutton station is just in 500 meters of the place.

Well is the five lamps a safe place?

At night time that DART station is very scary. That tunnel is a nightmare to walk through. Not all of Bayside is bad though. The people are great :)

so what do you propose, if we're going past bayside on the dart should we leapfrog over it???

Isn't Shankill meant to be the most racist place in Dublin? I heard some Spanish tourists got beaten near the DART station there. I never thought it was too bad down there although walking around the station at night sometimes creeped me out.

Bayside station is a hole. It's being completely rebuilt. Only station that is. But it'll still be an island platform, which means it'll still have the tunnel. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Though I doubt tourists would have any interest in the place. Even Sutton. The worst mistake would be thinking Howth Junction is Howth. I'd prefer Bayside to Howth Junction any day.

5 lamps / all of Amiens street is pretty crap too. Have to walk past the drug clinic there everyday.

    funny cos its true

it aint as bad anymore. there'll always be the ballymunners but i think tis not as rough anymore. well i know its not as rough anymore, they moved the knackbags from the towers to houses in santry!

Well there was two burnt out cars outside my door this morning so it depends, havent seen that a long time.

Ballymun isnt as bad as it was back in the eighties but in some ways it worse. Like most of dublin, the kids that are growing up now are semi-feral

Incidentaly back when the towers were all up it could be a spectacular place visually, looking out a top floor window on a foggy night offered some dark and surreal views of the towers and seeing sunsets over the whole of dublin was pretty neat too

    oh btw bugbear you're a f****ng retard
