    Hi guys

I have a digital camera (sony) and it's not plug and play.
My friend told me there is a 'thing' one can get which the memory stick can slot into and be used as a plug and play device.

As I'm hoping to upload photos when I am travelling around.

I am just wondering - what they are called? cheapest place to get one!

    Thanks

what youre probably looking for is a card reader that'll plug into a USB port.

If it's for use when travelling around, a portable storage device might suit you more as you can upload photos to it wherever you are. An example of such a device is the Epson P2000 (although that is one of the more pricey examples)

Another (and cheaper) example of one that does support memory stick is the PD70X - http://www.eastgear.com/compactdrive/product.php?p=specs

You'll be hard pushed to get one in Ireland I'd say. I was in PC World yesterday in Waterford and the only one they have is a Flashtrax 20Gb for the whopping sum of €539. You could buy the far better Epson for less than that. I'd say stick with Google for a while and you'll find something. That PD70X looks like a cheap option although it doesn't give you the benefit of picture preview & all the other stuff that the more expensive units have.

But teh only problem is getting the files to teh ipod - as I said my camera is not plug and play

I'll have a look for a card reader thanks

Belkin do a card reader attachment for the ipod, it may be compact flash only though. I'm sure if it is you can get a CF to MS converter.
