Backlight or inverter gone on laptop?

Hi, Looks like the backlight is gone in my laptop. I can barely see the screen, it is very, very faint though it is on. I can use an external monitor no problem. It must be the backlight. I think also its a loose connection cos it periodically comes on ok. So, anyone got any experience of fixing/replacing these? The laptop…

Hi,
