advice on cooling fans

Right, anytime i play a real graphics intensive game my pc freezes and the only way out is to switch the sodding thing off from the power supply (this only began happening recently), i have a feeling my computer may not be getting enough cool air to the graphics card...etc, the reason being is that i have dual display set up also, so i think this may be putting a strain on the pc, it already has a fan built in ("air xl") but i feel this may not be enough. So i just need advice on weather this may be the problem and how to sort it out propperly as im not sure weather i should be cooling the cpu or the graphics card or the whole pc in general.

Also i dunno if this may/may not have something to do with my problem but i did recently get a wireless logitech freedom2.4 joystick, again as i said i doubt this has much to do with it, reason being is that after the pc freezes there is an unhealthy amout of heat comming from the pc itself and if i take the cd out of the drive its scorching hot. I can also hear the pc struggling and whirring the fans more often when graphics intensive games are being played.

any advice would be much appreciated thanks,
    jayo

You dont know what kind of temps your getting?
Do a google for moterboard manager, install it and see what temps you get and if the are to high.
You could uninstall that wireless thing (forget what it was already) and see if the problem persists

Strip down your machine, clean out the dust.

Replace thermal compound between the cpu/gpu and their respective heatsinks.

Install some proper fans ie. Papst.

    No defo not right.
Do the setup wizard again or manually configure it for your mobo.
Have a look on-line maybe you can find someone's ini for the same mobo, i did for mine which was handy cause its not in the list and saved me time doing it. its a dfi btw
