Gotta get some flowers delievered in Cork...anyone ever use Interflora before?!? How does it work, do you just go into any flower shop and ask for the flowers to pop out of another shop somewhere else in the country? Do they charge much for delivery?

I don't think you need interflora if you only want to send to Ireland. I know my local flower shop doesn't do international deliveries, but they can arrange for national deliveries.

I've used Interflora lots of times to send internationaly though, just go into a flowershop with interflora logo in the window. Then you say what type of bunch of flowers you want.. and then you have to dictate a message (This can be pretty embarrassing if it is something unusual like my messages usually are)

It's €10 extra on the price of the flowers for an international delivery, a national one might be cheaper.

But you are right on how they work, Interflora has some sort of deal between shops. The flowers will be dispatched from a local flower shop near the destination.

    EDIT:
the shop I tend to use is: http://www.buy4now.ie/sheilasflowers/
I've used them lots of times. I had a problem last time I used them though and the flowers arrived 5 days late... but they gave me a full refund and most likely the problem was with the flower shop on the other end.

    Cheers thanks.
Do you know how long you need before the desired delievery time? I need them to arrive either today at some stage or at the latest, tomorrow. Also, do they just show you different bunches of flowers and you say "I want that one"? Urg - I had feared a dictation of message would be needed.

Edit: 5 days late?! Its my gf's birthday tomorrow but she has to work in Cork...and she will be coming back in a day or two. Dont want some random Corkie getting her flowers!

If you find a flower shop in Cork itself - if you go into your local shop and say "delivery in Cork" the Interflora charge is for one shop to ring the other and place the order. If you know what you want, just find the name of a flower shop in Cork and ring them directly - yes you will have to dictate your message (but I'm sure they've heard it all before).

It also means you'll know straight away if they can deliver today - if they can't then just pick the next flower shop out of the book.
