Outlook Hangs when replying?

    Hi All,

I am using outlook 2003 (not outlook express), and it seems to hang for about 10-30 seconds every time that I reply/forward to e-mail messages that contain HTML and images.

For example, if I get a message from PayPal (which generally has HTML and Image URL's within it), if I forward or reply, it can take outlook 10-30 seconds to respond and allow me to start typing the reply. Its like its downloading the images from the net or something???....

Have done some googl'ing for a solution, but noting is helping. Im certain that some of you folks must have the same / similar problem?????....

    Any help appreciated,
    Ta
    Jab

    Ok,

I solved my own problem. Wouldn't you know it, Outlook has an option that says "use word as my editor". The default for outlook 2002 and later is apparently to have this feature enabled. As such, the stupid effin microcrap piece-a-junk attempts to load a psuedo-instance of WORD every time you reply to a jaysus mail?????????.....its just your typical M$ bloat crap.

Anyway, there is a setting on the Tools->Options menu to switch this krap off.

PS - The way I found this was thanks to FURTHER M$ krap. When replying to a mail, I got an error to say that word crashed and outlook wanted to know if this was ok!!....junk

Tell me aaaaaallll about it. It causes problems with attachments and the throughts of what it might do to a HTML format reply <cringe> just another of those options that there is no reason to use.
