    It was true, apparently; they just made the announcement.

    And already, Slashdot's Apple bit and ThinkSecret have died.

    It's hilarious some of the earliest gut reactions after the news broke; one guy even said he's going back to Amiga. Now that's a diehard fan. Or something.

    Downloading XCode 2.1 with the x86 cross compiler now.. EXTREMELY DAMN SLOWLY. If they've any sense they'll only let established ADC users grab it or they'll suffer serious server load...

    Its nearly 800MB. BeOS + Codewarrior for both Intel and PowerPC is about 110MB... this is just the IDE and compiler!!
