Just curiosity here. My fella controls the remote in our house so we end up watching basically what he wants. Infuriating!! The only time I get to watch "my" programmes is when he's out ( or if I put on a face for a while - hehe! ). :D
I reckon it's mainly blokes but would like to be proven wrong!!

Personally speaking, i don't watch sport in the house.. always watch footie in the pub! Kinda boring and no atmosphere watching at home!

I don't really pick what's on to be truthful... we can normally agree on something!

Who ever has the remote at the time tbh.

Generaly i only watch tv while i winding down from work.
other than that i'm off up to the puter.

it all depends on whos in the house..

if everyone is home then its my dad if he's not in its me if i'm not in its my kid, then if no one is in my mam try's to use it gets annoyed and claims the we all watch to much tv and its banned for a week!

if i'm in my guys house its him unless he's out of the room! but he'll still come in and change the station even if he's not watching it to remind me that he owns the "bopper"

are you living in sandmount ave ?

i used to , and again the remote didn't work , so we had the youngest in the house become the remote ( the got themselves a stick) and we left it behind o_O

    No remote.

Television isn't great anyway. Plenty of DVDs to keep me happy.

well ud be amazed out how well you can control the stick after a while...!

was thinking of getting digital but there is a lot of junk on the tv at the mo..

What drives me totally scatty is when I'm watching something and he's been on the computer, he'll just come in and change it over!! Aaaaahhhh  Maybe I'm just too soft with him as I let him??

if its infa red u can put a book over the little red light on the tv and it will block the signal (and the channel will remain the same until someone gets up to move the book!)

whoever has the remote controls and if you leave the room you must hand controls to the person on the right

nope no handing of the "bopper" over!!! when i have it it stays in my pocket!! also stickers work better than books!!

We mostly watch the same stuff, so never really a problem!! When she's watching her programmes [Desperate Housewives & the sort], I normally read a book. Same for her when there's footie on.

The only thing I demand to see if it's on [whilst trying to find something] is Scrubs ... if that's not on, she normally picks ... just realised that she pretty much dictates whats on the TV :D

i know what you mean, i was at a friends house a few weeks back when one of the girls realised that desperate housewives was on, the girls promptly took control of the remote for the next hour! I had never watched it before but was converted (or brainwashed!)
