I've implimented some new rules for here :) These are "experimental" and please feel free to use this thread to provide positive and negative feedback to me.

I've asked that people restrict their use of jargon etc on "normal" threads on here. This is to facilitate non-technical people and "protect" them.

I've also introduced a "tag". If a thread has [Technical] in it's title then the above does not apply and we can all be jargon heavy as we like.

I'm trying to strike a balance between this being a place for serious scientific discussion and it being a place for people to learn about physics.

    Any feedback?

Edit: For those of you who don't know me, I am not someone who bans people for disagreeing with me. Feel free to say what you like in this thread and other so long as it fit's into the charter. I want to hear people's views on this.

My purpose here is to facilitate discussion not limit it.

I've always found that people were more than happy to dumb gthings down for me if I asked them to.

Thats seems pretty good to me.

With threads seperated into two types, things can be discussed with jargon without leaving people behind.
