Might be worth keeping an eye on this guy . He's had various mercurys before.

Just for perspective there's a DS there that is advertised as a 1972 DS, but isn't - it's an ID (basically the economy model spotted by the wrong door cars and incorrect braking system). It also has a non-original interior - brown velour was never an option on a DS. The steering wheel shows 200,000 KM, BTW.

You might want to use this as a tester of the vendor.

There was this Cougar for sale at the Kilbeggan show. No idea what year it is, but I guess you you don't get too many popping up for sale in Ireland ;)

Andrew, if your Cougar on e-bay doesn't check out, i know a very fine example for sale through my main contact in Holland. I bought several cars off him over the past 2 years and they all checked out fine, with the owners still over the moon with their cars, so it's at least safer than going out on a limb on e-bay...

the car is a 68 Cougar, originally delivered to Switzerland, so a unique European spec car, burgundy metallic with a black vinyl roof and a powerful 302 V8. Absolutely rust and damage free. Mail me for pictures and price.
