TV Link Install

I have an existing link from the digibox to all rooms, with an amp in the attic splitting the signal to the rooms. (this was a vcr link before this)

Is it possible to connect the amplifier line to the rf output 1 on the pace box, and run a 2nd line to the room where i want to use remote control, just to carry the tv link control signal, and connect this to rf 2?

the run of cable is quite short, it would take only 30 minutes, and save on buying a new amp if this was possible.

    Thanks
    Shaun

will the amp not carry the volts for the tvlink, or its probably not a power passing amp is it.
If you need to get a new amp televes do one thats suitable for a sky system AFAIK

perhaps the post wasnt clear, i want the picture on rf 1, and a line just for the remote on rf 2. the signal for the remote would never go near an amplifier, im just wondering if both can work at once?

    Yes it will work

basically you have 2 sky boxes,

box 1 - rf2 goes to amp in and distrabuted to tvs
Can be controlled from any tv with tv link attached...
box 2 - rf1 goes to amp to be watched on all tvs
rf2 goes directly to one tv with tv link attached...

this means that box 1 and box 2 can be watched on any tv...box 1 can be controlled on any tv with tv link

box 2 can only be controlled from the tv to which the rf2 lead is ran directly 2...

    yes, this will work fine,

but if you want to be ably to view box 1 also on the tv

you will have to find away only 2 send commands back to box 2,

You could do this with a splitter that only has DC pass on one of the 2 channels

    Hope this helps...

    only 1 sky box.
Perhaps i`ve got an unusual one, its a pace one, its got 2 rf outputs, one is powered, the other is not. both have a working output signal, at the same time.
It also has a rf input, for the aerial.

If you have an external power supply for the amp it will work
