Yeah I remember them. They came with Maxol and came in 3 colours (grey, yellow and pink afaik?).

I could never get one because my da was an Esso man. :(

Hey we have at least one of them still around somewhere - they were pink, grey, yellow or black. We even had nipper t-shirts and watches - my dad was doing a lot of driving at the time and had loads of maxol stickers..the worst thing was when the squeaker broke!!

anyone remember saving up tokens for these ? !
They were the poor mans version of cabbage patch kids ...
Came in a green plastic yoke, actually I think they were better lookin' than the cabbage patch kids ...

I got one so must've saved up the tokens, can't remember whether it was with a garage or where,,, must've been.

Hooray for 3 year old threads :)

Does anyone have one of these lying around. I'll pay up to thirty eight Irish Euros for one. (doesn't have to have the little squeaker thing still - just can't smell like wee) Grey would be preferred. Anyone??

Did those nippers come in a cardboard box shaped like a cage that you could see them through the bars?
I have this image of lots of them looking like little fuzzy prisoners behind the tills. (above the smokes!!)

I had the dark grey, wire haired type. Coolest one by far. Still have him somewhere.

Around that time, Brendan Grace's wife had a baby. The newspaper headline read something along the lines of Brendan Frees A Nipper :D
