i managed to get over the first hurdle of getting myself out of the leaba and then started to panic, stalking around town trying to find a spot. i eventually saw the match on a tv in a pub that was locked up and looked empty. i knocked on the window and the owners let me in to watch it, made me a cup of coffee and everything. i don't want to say where it was. and i don't want to abuse their hospitality either by showing up at eight o clock every saturday morning, so did anyone else find anywhere good? preferably somewhere that was actually open?

2nd half with les enfants at a mates house. Wanted to know what took me so long as his kids were annoying him. Arrangement could be a bit tough for the Tests though.

Saw it in the Dropping Well in Milltown which opened specially for the game at around seven and had their kitchen start early to lay on breakfasts. Ate a full Irish breakfast (8 quid) at the bar with two cups of decent strong coffee followed by a pint of cider. Not bad at all. The only irritating thing was the group of young students sitting at a table at the back who either were still drunk from the night before or were just natural born idiots and who kept yapping on loudly about the most stupid things during the match.

My brother and father and myself headed into the woolshed for 8 - great atmosphere - probably a 50 50 split of support for bay of plenty in there which was cool :)

yeah i reckon i'll head over to the woolshed the next time... miles from my gaff though. milltown's not much better. i wonder is there anything in the landsdowne road area? that's only down the road from me. slattery's maybe. shame about dallaglio. and rog probably blew his slim chances. its great to watch it unfold though.

You got a dvd burner ruggie?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,958 ✭✭✭✭RuggieBear

    EDIT: I have a dvd burner! :)

i tell you what.....i can stick both games on a dvd.

Is there anyway to reencode an xvid avi to make it smaller and still watchable.

I recorded the whole prematch and halftime talk and alot of the postmatch stuff. When i cut that stuff out i lose about 300meg.

Watched the match in the el leaba. Shame about Dallaglio but no-one said the All-Blacks would play clean.
