    Anybody Have any ideas on cleaning stainless steel that has been scorched?

    Is it polished or brushed finish?
    I know for a fact that ammonia cleans SS perfectly.
    scorch marks may need to be polished out

    There's some treacherous stuff called pickle paste that's use by SS fabricators.
    It'll take off welding marks so I'd say a bit of scorching shouldnt be a problem :)

    The best thing to clean stainless steel is a cloth and a bottle of Baby oil!
    Used for cleaning SS industrial kitchen!

    Just throw some on a cloth and give it a good rub.
