Might aswell get this thread going early so we can have some in depth discussions.

I won't be placing any bets just yet because as far as I can see it's a wide open market this year. I honestly cannot see the pats doing it again.

The Vikings defense has improved, the offense has taken a slight setback, but even though we have improved a lot this past offseason (including new owner) I cannot see us getting to the big show this year. I can however, see us winning at least 1 playoff game.

I think the colt's will have a decent run again this year, with manning coming off that great season of his, I think he might just break the record he set last year.

    AFC:
Afc west - Chargers. Clearly the best team in the division.
Afc north - I'll go with pittsburgh, but won't be surprised if baltmore wins it. The big question is can ben duplicate last year.
Afc south - Indy. No brainer.
    Afc east - Pats

    Wildcard- Jets/ravens

    NFC:
Nfc east - Philly. It will be interesting to see how T.O. will bounce back after his injury and contract dispute
Nfc north - Shootout between the vikings and packers. Even with the loss of moss, min should be able to come out on top with an improved defense.
Nfc west - Who cares? They'll be bounced in the first round
Nfc south - Atlanta. another year for vick to grow, and an already outstanding defense has been upgraded.

    Wild card: Packers/Panthers

    Playoffs:

    Afc:
    Wc round

    Chargers over ravens
    Steelers over jets

    Divisional round:
    Indy over steelers
    Pats over chargers

    Afc champ:
    Colts beat pats.

    NFC:
    Wc round:
Packers over whoever falls into the west title
    Panthers over vikings

    Divisional:

    Atlanta over packers
    Panthers over eagles

    NFC champ:

    Atlanta over panthers.

    SUPERBOWL:
    Atlanta vs. Indianapolis

Bump this thread in feb so everyone can see how right I was.

I've already got a bet on for The Falcons this season, 16/1 with Paddy Power.

I hate The Colts so won't be punting on them as then I'd want them to win their games.

Panthers also look tasty at 20/1.

Cant see Indy beating the Pats. Manning crumbles every time.

Think your calls for the divisions is spot on though.

Not a betting man myself but 25 - 1 seems a good outside bet for the Coyboys to win the AFC, with Bledsoe now at the helm and all.... wonder what odds you'd get for them to reach the playoffs, cos that'd certainly be a very realistic scenario...

I'll make any bet you want that the cowboys will NOT win the AFC......:D

    hehehe.... apologies for that.

Odds are still 25-1 for them to take the NFC but in response to your proposition, I refer you to my earlier statement:
    Not a betting man myself

    :p

I'll probably stick €20 on the vikings to take the big one home, 16-1 on paddypower.com.

If I do make that bet, i'll stick another 20 on them to take the NFC (5-1) - maybe more/less depending on how training camp goes next month.

The colts will get homefield advantage and will beat the pats and get their revenge. They will go on to beat the eagles, who just can't get a win in the big big games, in the superbowl, after they beat the falcons.
But I hope the Ravens win and prove me very wrong.

Suprise teams of the season - Raiders  & Browns
MVP - Clinton Portis or Mike Vick :D
Flop of the year - Kyle Boller (again!!!) :(
Fool of the year - Kellen Winslow Jr :o (and the season hasn't even started)
