Judging by some on the posts ive read im not the only one in this boat but anyway!

Im 24 and im going quite thin on top, added to that i have very fair hair, i keep it blade 2 all the time so i think i look even balder as its so light.

I use rogaine daily and it seems to have slowed down.

Ive decided id like to try a hair transplant, this guy in particular looks promising, http://www.kielyhealthcare.com/

As i still have a bit left i think i should try sort it!

What id like to try in the mean time while i research this procedure and check out the cost is propecia, can i get this online anywhere? any time i ask a doctor here they look at me funny!

Anyone ever heard of this kiely guy by the way?

I'd strongly advise you to go make an appointment with Dr Maurice Collins in the Blackrock clinic. He's an expert in hair transplants, but because of your age I doubt this is a wise option for you.He should sort you out with a propecia script though.

Don't know anything about the other guy...

If you go to a clinic you'll probably be put on medication like Propacea to help stop the fall-out and maybe even grow back the most recently lost hair. Don't get replacements unless the hair loss is under control.

You can get Propecia in a "hair shop" in Dublin. Going from the Central Bank, go up George's Street, and take the first left (directly opposite the George). They sell it there. About 3 years ago, it cost £90 for a months supply (30 tablets), but I don't know about now. It has a sign or a bald guy above the shop.

I don't think Dr collins it that expensive to be honest.

If you want to get a propecia script, go to your normal doctor and tell him/her that you want to start taking finasteride for hair loss. They should look it up in their little doctors reference if they dont know what it is..

The cheapest way to do it,is to take Proscar.

Proscar is a 5mg tablet of finasteride (The active ingredient) designed for prostate problems, and taking a 1/5 a day is exactly the same thing as taking propecia except it costs 18E a month instead of 80e a month.

thanks for the help lads anyone using it? how dya find it?

would it be available in a normal chemist if i get a script?

Yup, every chemist would stock Proscar (Not sure about Propecia tho).

I've been taking 1/5 of Proscar tab a day for about 6 months now and it's doing good things for me.My temples are starting to thicken up a little and I've not lost any more hair since i've started it so that's a result anyway. It does take a while (few months) to start working tho.

There are seemingly possible sexual side effects, but only in about 2% of people who take it, but it seems i'm in the lucky 98%!

would a doctor give me a prescription for that or how dya get it

You sure do need a prescription for it.

Just go to you doctor and explain the suitation and what you want, and it should be grand.

Wait, don't waste your money for hairtransplants here in Europe. Check appropriate internet forums and do your research before making an hairtransplant. I advise you to check out the following doctors (see in google):

    Hasson & Wong (Vancouver)
    Cole (Atlanta)
    Shapiro (Minneapolis)

I can provide other good names if you need, but these are the top 3 around, and the prices are the same as other european doctors.
With 90% of the doctors around you will have no results, don't trust the picture they show you, ask to see someone who got the work done and get his opinion.

You can get Proscar/Propecia in the farmacy or online.

These internal drugs like proscar and propecia are very dodgy...the occurrence of complications is a lot higher than you would think. Do your research, talk to the real people on the forums:

    www.hairlosshelp.com

The best, healthiest, and nicest looking solution IMO:

    www.toplace.com

The drugs will destroy your healthy, and regrowth will never rival a good toplace. Maintenance is 1 hour per week!

    Hi Cyrus!

For some reason I wasn't able to PM you. How did you find propecia in the end?

Where did you get your prescription and how much did it cost?

Cheers in advance for any help!
