I had nothing but trouble booking internal flights in the US with my Irish card.

Alaska Airlines are the only one I didn't have trouble with. Try some of the smaller airlines. Also try ebookers.ie - tend to be more expensive, but they may let you.

Are you in the States or Ireland? If here then:

If you simply ring Delta or American airlines, both have call centres in Dublin open untill 8pm iirc then they will do it for you and also no tax will be paid on them if you have your international ticket numbers-I've done this with both but don't have the numbers, they're in the book anyway or 11850 will text them to you.

Alternatively Travelocity.co.uk should be able to book internal U.S tickets for you with an Irish credit card.

www.travelselect.com also should be able to help.

Depending on where you are going, check out jetblue.com and southwest.com - the two big low-cost carriers - they seem to have no problem accepting international web bookings.

I used them two years ago for booking a few internal flights. As far as i remember the site was unitedairlines.co.uk. It worked out perfect booked them on site , then they contacted me by phone, I think the office was somewhere like Parkwest or one of those business parks in Dublin. This year however and last actually, I used expedia.co.uk to book the flights internally. Again worked out like a dream, only problem with expedia.co.uk was, as the tickets were not etickets and were paper tickets, you need someone in the UK to use their address to post the tickets to, from expedia. to them that is. Then get them to post them to you and away you go. Flying in the States is pretty cheap compared to here it seems.

    Bon voyage
