possible to mod slimline ps2 to play foreign ps1 and 2 games?

foreign...you mean copies...very possible but has adverse side effects.... ie. a sense of guilt.Plus the laser can burn if you be carefull and get some other chip too.
P.S I have 1 oxegen camping ticket...haha.
