AVG Email filter acting odd

Recently i've noticed AVG connecting to random addresses for no apparent reason. I've only seen this happen three times, but its wierd. A little popup appears as in the attached picture telling me AVG is connecting to someone.

Is this normal? Or is there something up with my computer.

I get that too. Different hostname though.

And i only ever use Gmail.


EDIT: I think theres something up. I don't think AVG is the best virus scanner in the world, every time i do a scan i find some java virus, but it doesn't catch it when it's downloaded from a webpage :mad:

well, i don't actually use an email app on my computer, so i suppose i could just disable that section of AVG. But i'd like to know why thats happening. And i think its been a different hostname each time so far.

Happens to me everytime i open outlook for eircom mail.

Yeah, but what hostname does it show? The Eircom mail one,or a different one?

It happens to me when i haven't even loaded outlook in about 4 months.
