The bagettte type ones are about 160 as far as I remember. I bought a big sporty type one there last sept for about 200, like everything there is higher end and lower end versions.

I don't like the handbags by Gucci.
But the Gucci sunglases are great!

€200 is really cheap for a Gucci bag - most of the medium shoulder bags start around €350/€400 and go way up if they have any kind of embellishment on them. I saw one I really liked about a month ago but because it had a snazzy strap and lots of metal studs on it it was around €590  You'd barely fit your wallet/keys/brolly/phone in it!

I think I might lay off the handbag after all. Is BTs the only place that flogs the glasses - in town? What sort of prices are we taliking here.
Do ye think that Gucci will be the next Louis Vutton - nobody will wear them anymore cos there are too many knock offs around? I saw the thread below and noone seems keen on LV anymore. I think if someone gave me a "real" bag for free, I wouldnt take it cos the branding me factor is too high. I will prolly never get the chance to test my theory out!!

Gucci is as omnipresent now as LV was two years ago - try walking through the IFSC or Grafton St without seeing a Gucci bag every five steps! People in Ireland love monogrammed bags as it advertises exactly how much they spent on the bag, so any of those brands in BT covered in a logo will invariably end up on every well-heeled shoulder in town.

I think you can get Gucci sunglass in some of the more upscale opticians around the place but tbh I doubt they'd be much cheaper than BT. If you're after any pair of sunglasses rather than a style specific to this season, you can get sunglasses online quite easily. I wouldnt' recommend ebay though; full of knockoffs. Try Ashford.com, Overstock for past seasons, and Yoox or for more recent styles.

    HTH :)

I just don't get it. Always thought it was mainly skangers who prove their wealth with all the gold\ridiculously expensive runners etc.

The things you could buy with money spent on €400 bags, not complaining as such but I just think it's pathetic

Thanks for the help! I agree about €400 on a bag but I suppose its all relative to how much money you have. To me €400 is just wwaaayy too much to spend on a bag but Ive been looking around for a nice evryday bag and cant find one that doesnt look awful cos its cheap or one that is nice but out of my spending range. Any suggestions?
