You don't want to buy your dress in Dublin if its a Dublin debs... what if she runs into someone wearing the same dress???

Try 'Venus Designs' in Blackrock Co. Louth, Just 45 mins down the m1, alot of French Gowns and hand made Irish designer 'Purple Peach' ... they where in image magazine not so long ago. Its very luxurious (the service and dressing rooms etc) but reasonably priced.

The dresses are very unusual. It has alot of jewellery to match too ... mostly for evening wear.

TK Maxx may be worth a shot. If you go in when they have a new shipment in you may be in luck and everything is way cheaper than it used to be. In all fairness the fashion for debs does not change that much each year so "last seasons" dresses shouldn't be that different. Only difference will be the huge drop in price.

About 8 ppl at my debs went to roccoco and ended up all wearing wither the exact same dress or some variation on it.

I'm going to a debs in September, but I don't want a 'normal' debs dress, anyone know anywhere that sells 'older' styled dresses(think anything from the Victorian to 1940's eras)?

Try Jenny Vender just behind Powescourt TownHouse. Also try second hand shops.

1920's will be in fashion soon so ya might get something in the high street.
