    It's annoying. Up until recently it was the same price to send an SMS to the rest of Europe as it was to send one in Ireland. Then they just upped the price without mentioning it.

    And the 100 free text messages I get bundled with my account each month don't count as free messages if sent outside of Ireland anymore either.

    Yup, you definitely can with O2. It's the only reason I have it, really. 250 free a month to any number in the world. & The phonebook is very handy as well.

    The 300 on vodafone can only be sent to Irish mobiles, 085, 086 or 087

    Meteor is 15c a text to mainland Europe - have a friend in Netherlands and text him regularily - even 15c seems a bit steep lol

    Meteor used to allow you to send free webtexts to anywhere in the world... presumably somebody caught onto it though - bugger :)!

    (Same with vodafone IIRC)
