wouldnt touch em with a bargepole. It's not worth the possible damage to your eyesight to get fakes that could use normal glass without uv blockers. course thats just me.

The fake ones are the ones being sold cheap on ebay...

I am sure there are some reputable shops on ebay, go through the stores and try and find an "official" dealer, watch for the bullshlt. Sunglasses, watches and clothes are very easy to fake and ebay is teeming with them.

I wouldn't buy them on Ebay. The seller may have good feedback but a lot of dumb people can't tell the difference between real and fakes and leave positive feedback and those that leave neg feedback complain, get their money back and then ebay removes the negative feedback.

I find a good indicator is when a seller says something along the lines of "I have no box or paperwork so cannot guarantee their authenticity therefore please don't bid if unsure" to cover them from eBay's counterfeit sales policy.
Another good indicator is when the item title says [popular sunglasses brand] style and when the starting bid price is low; real traders won't risk putting the real deal up for much less than what they expect to get for the item.

On the subject of fake Oakleys; I bought 2 pairs when I was in Mexico years back. I still have them. They still fool people, and I've still got my eyesight. When it comes to Oakley, you're paying for the material the frames are made from, and the name. UV filtering polycarbonate lenses are mass manafactured; just look at the sunglasses rack in your local filling station...

Buy em if you just want a cheap pair of fakes that 99% of people will never be able to tell apart from the real ones. UV protection? There are shades on sale for 3 euros in Penneys that have UV protection, so you can get decent cheap shades. I don't know if a manufacturer of fake desingner shades would have the scruples to include it in their product though.

If you want a legit oakley seller on Ebay try this - guy
I've bought 3 pairs of Oakley wisdom googles off him - for the retail price of 1 pair. They were all brand new and legit - full oakley warrantee booklets and everything.
Mates have bought legit off him too. Plus there was no problem with import duties.

1-2 pairs of the wisdoms are for sale too - I got carried away! :p
