    That's a rather broad question.
To start with, how do you usually connect to the internet? How does the connection come into your computer? If you connect by modem, odds are you're in a spot of bother due to the proliferation of winmodems

yea its a dialup modem :( but, im not sure if this is possible most likely not, i could connect to my other windows box on the network and connect using the ICS or whatever??

Have you tried running the network wizard in Mandrake? (I think it's called netdrake)

yeah, that's what I did until I got bb. Of course for that to work, you'll have to have a working network card in linux, which is another (thankfully easier) story.

As for the modem itself, try googling the name/model number and "linux" and see if anyone has had any luck with it

To answer the last question, go into the mandriva control centre and goto hardware and then monitor/video and change the resolution up as high as you want.

To setup ICS, on the Windows machine setup the dialup connection to share (in dialup networking, right click the connection and goto properties, it's in there somewhere) it.
I'm not sure about configuring the mandriva system, the network wizard in the mandriva control centre might be able to do it though (setup networking first anyhow).

Is the connection firewalled on the Windows computer?
    I'd check that first.
