Just going to Australia. What should I bring for the flight as in Handhelds iPods? What can I do to prevent jet lag. Also could you recommend things for a thrill seeker to do. I'm going to Cairns, Uleru and Sydney and want to know what is worth doing

Wouldnt bother with handhelds n that crap u just get bored using them, plus the flight attendants MIGHT complain about using electronic devices, but im not to sure its airline dependant. Get a good book or 2 or 3 if u like reading.

Get your self some nitey nitey snoozy snooze and knock yer self out, but then u gotta worry about deep vain trumbosis ha!

Nothing u can really do about jet lag unless u change your sleeping pattern to that of Cairns local time a couple of days beforehand but thats just not gonna happen.

As for thrill seeking, MAN! your going to OZ u can pretty much do anything u can imagine over there, Sky diving, scuba diving, bungee jumping, parachuting, base jumping, white water rafting, google Cairns + sky diving and you'll find loads of adventure centres that offer extreme sport packages.

    Eg. http://www.jumpthebeach.com.au/packages.htm

Hope that helped, probably not but hey i tried.

If yer backpacking, an iPod might not be a good idea..

I think jet lag sounds worse than it is..
Try and stay awake until night time when you get there,
    and you'll quickly get adjusted..

Diving is great.. especially on the reef...
Rafting close to Cairns is good..
Cape trib is pretty impressive too.
