    A New Hope or Star Wars as it used to be called...

    Peter Cushing was great...

    too bad it's the film most badly damaged by Lucas' alterations.

    Dante Hicks: "Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets.

    The first one, no wait its the fourth one. Great for its day. Why was C3PO so camp. Did Lucas do it purposely?

    They're all less than great but Empire gets my vote for its gloomy atmosphere
    (relativly speaking!).

    ill vote for episode 3 just because the saber battles are better
    then again i do love vader and ob1 in episode 4 kinda a change from there last fight in ep 3.
    i wasent a big a fan as the saber battle in episode 6 as most where for me it was the music in that scene, the presence of the emperor and vader saying "There is no conflict" The saber battle itself was good but not amazing

    but emm why post this poll here? why not in the Star wars forum forum?

    I think before Daniels got the part C3-P0 was supposed to come across as an american used car sales man...

    so I think we really dodged the bullet there...

    That any of the prequels earned votes is upsetting. ROTS getting more votes than ROTJ and three times as many votes than A New Hope, makes me despair for the human race. It really does.

    Empire is the best SW film. I'd go for ROTJ second (marginally) despite the Ewoks. A New Hope third, though for me, the opening shot of the Star Destroyer is the most memorable moment in the entire kaboodle.

    Phantom Menace is the worst. Can't choose between the other two.
