Seats allocated on booking

Aerlingus.ie now offers a facility whereby you can be allocated your seats on transatlantic flights at your time of booking, rather than at check in.

Myself and a few friends booked separately on the website. As a result, we have been given seats in different places on the aircraft. Should we ring aerlingus to have them put us sitting together or should we wait until we're checking in to request this?

Has anyone even experienced this policy of pre-allocating seats on transatlantic aerlingus flights?

    Ring them and ask.

they have done the allocating thing for a while now. If you guys would have booked them on the same booking you would have gotten them together. The only thing to do really is get there early to check in and get them to possibly move you around. Its very slim though cos a lot of the seats will be booked up.
