I heard somewhere that the PSP is region specific so wont do that..

A friend of mine has an iTrip and it can be pretty crappy..

Hmm still thinking.. this itch needs scratching

If you are looking for a only 'car radio' based transmitter i bought one through monster and it is great quality. I connects to your ipod via cable and charges it when you plug it in to the firelighter socket

if I was going I would buy one of those tiny portable 256MB mp3 players with FM radio,

they were dirt cheap when i was over there last October and really handy for jogging or something

anyway, that's what I would buy if going back

Those psp's are so over rated! Only 2 hours of battery life, basicly a normal console with a tiny screen. You would be better off waiting and buying an Xbox 360. and for anyone that wants to buy an fm transmitter check out the airplay (alot better than the itrip). http://www.go-gadget-go.co.uk/listproducts.php?cid=35

Good luck in The US :D

I don't know where you're getting 2 hours battery life from. If you have the screen brightness up full, and volume up full, well maybe. I have my screen brightness at the lowest and volume about a quarter and I get 3, maybe 4 hours battery life.

i get four hours when playing ridge racer, but the battery does drain after a while when you leave in standby for a day or two.
