Anyone got any opinions on the merits of the various digiboxes currently on the market ?

What are the newer pace boxes like ? (Some of the older ones were junk but the newer ones are supposed to have improved Im told)

Is there any point in having a Sky plus box with an FTV/Freesat card ?

Hmm, all I've seen is the new Pace's (some I think nickname them cobra's or something). They are definitely a lot superior to their older predecessors, the 2500. I haven't seen any failures yet actually, though it's early days I guess.

Tony probably installs more than I do so might give wider insight?

Amstrad, I think still make them too, though I'd just avoid those as they've always been iffy. Thomson is the other, and I have no experience with those. Both the latter our supplier doesn't stock AFAIK, so we stick with Pace.
