    Hmm..

    From this moment on I am refusing to waste my time doing that stupid math ****.

    But yeah. It worked.

    I can see how that works. It would be more impressive if you didnt have to put in all the numbers.

    Didnt work for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,584 ✭✭✭✭Creamy Goodness

    it works, but you've got to follow it closely only works with 7 digit irish mobile numbers with the 087,086,085 prefix

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 396 ✭✭Finch*

    worked for me, n1!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,977 ✭✭✭mp3guy

    oh, and you can't expect this to work, because if this was the algorithm for irish phone numbers, there'd only be 2997 different phone numbers.

    say its xxxx0250
    IM at the stage of "plus the last 4 digits"
    So do I add 7 twice, or 250 twice?

    I want the last 40 seconds of my life back...

    When it says 'add the last four digits', it means the last four digits of your PHONE NUMBER.

    That solves everyone's problems.

    Thank you, goodnight.

    abcdefg = ((80(abc) + 1)250 + 2(defg) - 250)/2
    abcdefg = 125(80(abc) + 1) + defg - 125
    abcdefg = 10,000(abc) + 125 + defg - 125
    abcdefg = a,bc0,000 + defg

    Wow, crazy maths there.... :rolleyes:

    Hang on, so you input all the digits of your mobile number, and it tells you your mobile number. That's amazing :rolleyes:

    ya thats good, though there are alot of these things going around at the moment, here's another one:

    1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have a pint or a glass or two of wine. (try for more than once)

    2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be honest)

    3 Add 5. (for Sunday)

    4. Multiply it by 50 I'll wait while you get the calculator.................

    5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755. If you haven't, add 1754

    6. Now subtract the four-digit year that you were born.

    You should have a three-digit number

    The first digit of this was your original number
    (i.e., how many times you want to have a pint week).

    The next two numbers are .......

    YOUR AGE! ~ (Oh YES, it IS!!!!! ) :D

    Woooooooooooow.........

    The mobile no. thing works, I just multiplied by 250 instead of minusing. I guess I'll go hang myself in the barn....

    Posting phone numbers (including your own) is a bannable offense - do *not* post real numbers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,842 ✭✭✭steveland?

    Here's another one...

    Take your age
    Multiply it be 3
    Add 5
    Subtract 5
    Divide by 3

    See what you get...
    that's right you've just wasted 30 seconds of your life...
