Codec error with AVI file and some WMV files don't play

    Hi,

    I downloaded a movie that took ages and now all I get is the sound. When I go to play it windows media player says there is an error downloading the codec? I think there is something wrong with the program as when i go to play some files that are WMV I get text on the browser. Is there something I need to download or any other way to fix this?
