With Stargate entering a ninth and possibly a tenth series it seems evident that a major character will be killed off or a dramatic turn of events happens,
bookies choice, what happens next ? any thoughts?

Eh yeah...I'm surprised you don't know but it is by no means a spoiler.....Jack will be gone, for good like.

That has been news for months now and hardly a serious plot twist as we already know, and Jack will still be in some of the episodes later on, I was refering to an actual plot twist . . . . ya know ? where the plot actualy twists.

The closest we've had was Doc. Frasier in S7. I don't anticipate any sudden deaths and, given most of the major plot lines have been resolved, I can't see much room for sudden twists.

He won't though. After the third episode he is due to get a promotion that will see him leave the SGC, his charcter will still get mentioned but RDA is expected to not go back there.

As fdr other charcter changes, you must know that Carter won't be in the first half of theseries, and that Ben Browder has joined Sg1.

Yes, Amanda Tapping's pregnancy will keep her out of the loop for the first few episodes and like General Hammond Jack will appear as a guest in several episodes, but as I stated it is the information we are not told that I am interested in.
If Stargate is going ( as would seem likely ) to run to at least 10 series, then it is going to need something else apart from the remments of the Gou'ld to fight with,
    my
    question was with whom
