Xbox in motrocycle accident. Replacement cost?

    Hello,

Having difficultly finding a definitive replacement cost for my Xbox online. It was on the back of my motorbike while getting run over by a car but it appeared to be fine afterwards, I've played HALO2 on it since the accident but I stuck in Midtown Madness a few minutes ago and after the first two logo's pop up it locks up.

If it happens in one game it might happen in another so I'm going to err on the side of caution and get a new one, its a bit late in the evening now so there's nobody I can ring is there?

It's a bit weird though that it plays some games and not others though isn’t it? Anyway, if anybody knows what they’re selling for these days please speak up so I can get these claim forms done and dusted.

    Thanks.
    Dave

And the answer is EUR149.99 from Harvey Normans. To be saved until the new one hits the shops.

Sounds like your head is damaged(in the xbox) or just knocked out of allignment. have a look for a dvd cleaner disk or find some modder to have a look.
good luck with it.(if you wish to fix it)

If it stops working call up microsoft and they'll come collect it and take it off for repair, it's a good service. I got one xbox repaired no problem.

Never though about that. half the games are working so i figured it was something wierd/hard to fix not something potentially sorted by a dvd cleaner. i'll give that a shot.

i've no desire to be a p**** about this claim. although the way she's going on now... *shakes head*

can't wait for the xbox two though. isn't it going to be backwards compatable with xbox one games?

it wasn't the bike crash that broke it was putting in midtown madness... Works with halo and doesn't with mm, your xbox has taste

If you get hassle off the person involved in the accident, stop dealing with them and move on to the insurance company. Its not working on all games so it aint working right. etc...

I kinda thought the same thing myself, re my xbox now has taste. I was just stuck for games because all my decent driving games Rallisport challenge and the likes were in work.

no joy with the cleaning cd and now the x box seems to be scratching up one of the other games although maybe it was scratched before... *shrugs*

I don't play games in work anymore, I got a new job, 9-5 office deal, no more sitting around at all hours of the day and night waiting for some work to come up.
