Poland - Slovakia - Czech Rep?

Hi, just looking tentatively at some holiday plans with some mates in September. Was looking at going to Krakow for a few days, then through Slovakia and onto Prague for a few days before flying home. Just a 10 day thing.

Just wondering if this is possible -- ie are there good train/bus links, is it a feasible trip etc...)

Anyone been in this area before, any tips or suggestions?

All help welcome. It looks straightforward on the maps, but none of us have been to eastern Europe before!!

We're students so no worries about luxury etc.

Yeah it's no problem. Might be easier to go Krakow - Prague - Slovakia. Did that a few years ago. Make sure you punch your tram tickets in Bratislava!!!

another related question - what about krakov-budapest-zagreb-trieste...

How long are train journeys between these places, and how costly?

Also, would you fit all that in just 10 days / two weeks?

    Again, advice would be appreciated.
