iPod trouble

    When i turn on my iPod the Apple symbol appears then a picture of a folder with an attention sign appears and the iPod turns off. Been happening since i had to re-set the iPod because when it went to play a song it would go through every song on the playlist but play nothing. When i connect the iPod to the pc, the "do no disconnect" thing appears but i cant actually access the iPod and cant run the iPod updater. Takes ages to disconnect as well and when the pc says that it is safe to disonnect the "do not disconnect" stays on the screen. Its an original iPod.

    Sounds bad. I've had a few serious lockups on my ipod (it does get about 6hrs use EVERYDAY). I will assume that you have a backup of all your mp3's at home so wiping your ipod is not an issue.

    You need to switch the ipod into disk mode (google) then you will see it in windows. Then you can update it or format it again. Usually when a reset of my ipod doesnt work then this procedure usually (always so far for me)

    Found out what the problem was here. But now that the iPod is in Disk mode, i cant seem to be able to update it or restore it. Windows is not reading the iPod now
