Just a bit of knowledge for you.... unless you are completely terrible at table top... very few people will play you if you are using tyranids... especially with the new codex coming out for them... it makes me cringe tbh

How good/bad is the new codex?

I only got a quick look at it... but carnifex's can be taken as an elite choice if you make them less than 120 points or somthing.... 6 carnifexes is ott. one is almost too much to handle

Carnifex + Biovore = budget Lemun Russ with claws
    Rediculous unit.

Yes, it sounds nasty, but with the ammount of AP2 and AP3 weaponry out there, those carnifexes will have trouble enough getting across the board. Besides which, do you really want to tie up more than 50% of your entire army in 6 models?

It sounds worse than it is, trust me.

But they're all T6 or 7 with up to 4 wounds, and a 2+ save. Up to D6+6 attacks on the charge (if you get yourself in contact with enough), and S10 if you want it (I think).
People bemoaned the existance of wraithlords. They seem like pansies in comparrison.

The Broodlord is just scarily good. Basic cost is something like 80pts. He himself has an initiative of 8 when you beef him up. He has 5 attacks which count as double wounds if they hit, and did I mention his claws count as power weapons? Also his WS is some insanely high figure as well, he's a killing machine. Not to mention he can take a retinue of 12 Genestealers and infiltrate with them.

    Its funny.

From what I understand, the 'feedback' on the bug forums has been about how much the Nids have lost with the new codex. Everyone here is focusing on how scary the carnifexes and stuff are.

Have you played with or against the new Nid list? Have you seen any games played with them? Have you had time to figure out all the changes and adapt your tactics to them?

Its the same after every new codex is released. There will be a few weeks of "Oh, look how terrible $unit is" and then people figure out the weaknesses of the list, and the noise goes down again.

    Bugs are not invulnerable.

Found this Tyranid site a short while ago. This guys army is class.
Also hidden on the site are two small sections for other forces, Merc Kroot and Necron (under "Prey Species"). Very nicely done.
