Can i insure a classic as a "second car" with a seperate insurance company and still keep my main car policy with another company?

I hope that makes sense :)

Yep - and that's normally how it's done, what with "shopping around" etc, you're more likely to change from company to company on your main car's insurance, less so with a classic policy since the prices are so relatively low anyway.

Have a word with First Ireland (Alison Ryan) for classic insurance, I found them great.
