what speeds should i expect from eircom bb

    just got it installed and it is not blinding to say the very least -

    And download speeds are laughable. Can somebody give me average download speeds from say download.com or somefink. It would be much appreciated.

    Are you on the Home Starter or the Home Plus package?

    Download speed varies quite alot, it only max's out when downloading something off HEAnet. roughly ~150KB is average

    somethings not right about your eircom broadband, im on the 2mb package and its always good, normally get between 200k/sec and 230k/sec, only time i get poorish transfer rates is when im downloading from some american websites.

    pings to jolt should be about 35ms and download speeds should be about 220kb/sec from ftp.heanet.ie
