i put PC100 SD Ram into a machine by mistake should of been PC133 and turned it on obviously it ddnt work so i copped on what i had just done. Took that out and put back in my PC133 Ram but now i keep getting a funny screen all i can describe it like is when the Commadore 64 was loading up a game. Is there anything i can do need to access the hard drive in that computer. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction,

Sounds like a graphics problem. If you have a graphics card, try taking it out and putting it back in. Also do the same with the ram. If you have a few sticks of ram, try using one at a time and then gradually build up to your full compliment. Process of elimination is the name of the game.

no blue screen or warning messages but as aaf said could be to do with the graphics card its right beside the ram slots so might of moved the graphics card or sumtin in the process.

If this is the case, swapping out the ram as I suggested should narrow or solve problem. My memories of Commodore 64 ain't what they used to be! Could be blue screen or could be all those wonderful lines of colours when loading up the old games.
