    Hi,
Hope this is in the right thread.

Does anyone know where you can buy energy saving light bulbs at a decent price? I'm looking for the candle shaped ones. (7w~40w). Small Bayonet Cap and Bayonet Cap.

The bulbs they are replacing are all 60w, although I can't seem to find the ES Candle 60W equivalent. Do they exist? Can anyone suggest alternatives?

    Thanks
    ambrose

I have a funny feeling that these don't exist. I have changed all my bulbs to the Philips soft-tone range which are the new normal looking CFL and there is one of those Philips stringy ones thats you can even use a dimmer on.

I haven't come accross any smaller ones, might be technically impossible at the moment but I'd keep checking Phillips website, if anyone will do it, it will more than likely be them.

IKEA Shops sell something like you are looking for - my brother got me some golf ball sized energy savers last time he was in ikea in scotland - he tells me that yor can get all sorts of sizes.

These aren't CFL bulbs but with a 1.3w draw definately will be energy saving not to mention very long life.

    Thanks for all the replies.

CJhaughey, they are the exact bulbs I'm looking for, however at ~€7.50 (x25), fitting out the rooms in the house will not be cheap!

I will hold off for a while, and hope that somewhere locally might have them in a bit cheaper.

    Thanks again.
