Darth Vader vs Obi Wan ep 4 , now we all know obi wan in ep 3 defeats darth, but in ep4 , do u think he could have defeated him again with out killing himself ? ie allowing luke the chance to get away. If we look at the fight they were both pretty much even , i very much doubt Darth would have allowed the storm troopers to…

He could have but it wouldn't have served the story very well. For one thing Obi probably wouldn't have had anything more to do in the film and more importantly GL had to make it so that Luke was left totally to his own devices for the rest of the story in order to tie it into the 'heros journey' framework.
