Is it possible to record and save a live video stream to a file. For example save a segment while streaming a radio station to your laptop. I need to get a video that is streamed from a particular website.

I'm using media player to play the stream, but I have winap/realplayer also

Try a search on this board or Music/Radio for stream & save and I reckon you'll find the right tool (I've answered this a few times before but can't for the life of me remember the name).. actually I've just done it:
