satellite q, motorised & fta

    hi folks

    i have the aldi dish up and running, now. the wall is blocking most of the western direction, i think its west anyway.

    i have astra2 now. but want more fta channels

    so my q is if i got a motorised mount, what other satellites are viable, and offer good channels? football like canal + rai or the like?

    the dish is 80cm i believe.

    dude dude stick it over on Hotbird, 13deg east. its the main sat now. unless u have a drag cam 30deg west wont be worth mentioning, esp with that wall. ;)

    People keep talking about Hotbird, but I really do not see what the fuss is about. Astra 2 gives you all the bbc channels, ITV News and ITV 3, Sky News, Chart Show TV, The Vault. Eurobird throws in a couple more, Bad Movies, True Moves, Matinee Movies and B4.

    In my opinion, unless you speak another language fluently, you will not spend a lot of time watching hotbird. Then again, I could be wrong and I am missing out on something.

    Get a multi bracket so you can have up to 16 feeds on one dish.It is far more relaialble
    than a disq motor.If the wall is a problem move it elseware get a compuss and get due south then fin a empty spot

    FTA tv is generally junk and i never found much worth watching during my travels and i often covered the whole spectrum. The rare feed made all the hours worth it but ultimately the Pay tv is where its at.
