hey i'm in the market for a new guitar, I had fell in love with ESP when the sold the V's and explorers, but not is an eclipse really worth it, or should i look back towards fender, I need something that can handle a good riff

There are very few guitars which can't handle a good riff, perhaps if you elaborated the musical style you want to play and your budget and people might be able to help you out.

Nothing wrong with a nice ESP Eclipse or Ibanez SZ520QM or SZ720 (or SZ2020 )
