Can anyone tell me where you can train to be a Mechanic besides FAS?

as far as i know the only way to become a recognised mechanic in ireland is to do an apprenticeship with a garage, who will send you to fas for training and you will get your fas/fetac cert at the end of it. im pretty sure thats the only recognised apprenticeships in the country. unless you work in some backstreet garage and never actually get a qualification.
I did a construction plant fitter trade that way,and my brother is currently doing a fas motor mechanic apprenticeship ith a main ford dealer.
