EbS (Hotbird 12.476H) versus Comag SL55 (LIDL) Reciever

    Has anyone else had problems when theyve tried watching EbS on a Lidl reciever or tried doing a transponder scan on the EbS transponder (12.476H 27.5 3/4)

    When I try to do either of these my reciever goes ape$*1t It appears to spend ages trying to download software before crashing completly with recovery only possible by disconnecting the LNB and powering off the reciever :confused:

    When I power back on I often found that some channels have been deleted out of my list :mad:

    Any ideas ?

    Ive had this problem , found solution on another forum , switch off , disconnect the lnb cable , turn back on find this channel and delete its ass off of ur box , then go back to watching Xtream on the same transponder .

    There are other channels besides Xstream on said transponder :D

    Some channels, possible EbS and Euronews might have too many audio channel compared with what SW writer expected.... My Palcom DSL4 is OK, but some models do have a problem. Talk of firmware upgrades etc, so check out upgrades. Most Sat Rx, inc SL55 can be upgraded "over the air" or via serial port and Internet download via PC. I have done both on Palcom.

    The OTA upgrade leaves stored channels etc, the PC firmware upgrade makes the box like "factory" settings!

    Thanks Watty Do you know if its possible do do the OTA upgrade from Hotbird/Astra 2 or do I have to move it back to Astra 1

    Ulsterman, as far as I recall from my Comag manual, updates are from Astra 1. If you have the manual, it's definately mentioned in there somewhere.
