Yep, I have several times. Strangely enough they always had Dublin's Country (or whatever the name of the station is) on instead. Even worse than Q102! Maybe taxi radios can only flip between the two?

I think some taxi drivers should be listening to Mountjoy Resident Radio.

meself and herself were in a taxi on our way to some gig or another when the taxi drive started talking about music, and said he had someone in his cab earlier that was very put out when he put on a tape of some hawiian hula music he picked up on tape at a boot far for 50c.

he proceeded to then put it on for our pleasure.

one of the most surreal taxi experiences of my life tbh.

although the weirdest was in bangkok when me and herself dropped off to sleep coming from the airport into the city and were woken up by someone honking their horn because we had stopped at some lights and the taxi driver had fallen asleep too!

I asked a taxi driver once if you wouldn't mind putting on another station as the country was doing my fragile morning after brain in, he told me his radio was broken and that was the only station he could pick up, Cheeky Fecker, we compromised on turning the radio off

I was in a taxi, and the driver was listening to Megadeth. That was a bit strange.

    Thats what you want... :)

I asked a taxi to put in a casette that I had on me at the time because the radio was doing my head in, it was Slayer "Reign in Blood"... Funnily enough, he liked it.

I hope you mean "boards fancy in the fifth at newmarket" because those guys make about three times the average wage.
BTW - did you notice an upto date IMRO cert displayed - because people like that are killing music ? :p

If people didnt tip taxi drivers, taxis would just cost more. And he did a good job.

In my experiance Dublin taxis already cost more than elsewhere like Cork/Galway because every little thing is added on like bags. Taxi plates used to cost more than houses ...

Yeah, I do admit I don't always tip them. But that guy was helpful and polite, so I gave him a little extra.
