I'm trying to play some avi's I have on the computer and in the past couple of days what it will do is play the video of the avi for about 5 secs with no audio then the counter will run on to about 20 secs then crash. I've checked to see if I have any plugins active and only the ones I have had running previously are there. Any ideas what might be wrong?

My experiance of this has always been the result of corrupted video files.Sometimes re-downloading the files has helped but at the end of the day, if a video is badly made then then no amount of plugins can help you :/
