Someone deleted a folder off a external hard drive and I need to get the contents of it back, could someone recommend a tool that could do this? Is it possible?

Try Get Data Back from Runtime:
    http://www.runtime.org

It's not free but if does work. Got everything back from formatted drive for me. Just make sure you pick the right file system! (different progs for FAT and NTFS).

NTFS - rest2514 unless the partition has been expanded at some stage

It let me search for the files then after a 5 hour search of the drive, it asks me to buy it. Annoying or what. Is there a free version?

The rest2514, Im gonna give it a run soon but I dunno if this stuff went through the recycle bin

no it does a full scan of the drive and restores by copying to another drive, so doesn't modify the data.

Im trying to recover alot of jpegs and they are not labelled. That rest program wont let me select aload of files to mass copy. Do I haveto do all files individually?
